Sum-Sum-Summertime!

Howdy Jewelry Fans! Can you feel the excitement?? The days have stretched themselves out like a lazy cat on a scratching post. Or maybe a warm weather nap in a box that's meant for Wyoming? This picture is really of my cat, Snow, The Inspector Primus. He seems to be enjoying his afternoon nap right in the middle of my work table.)  I've caught a whiff of sunscreen and have been daydreaming of pina coloadas and margaritas at a poolside bar next to a golden sand beach. YESSSSSS!!! And while I'm not a kid anymore (happily) and I don't get the summer off (sadly), I do get the opportunity to travel this great country and meet you, Jewelry Fans, in your hometowns all across this Great Land.

By now my summer calendar is locked in and you can find the details right here. I've got so much new work to show you, and so much to tell you about in person. I hope you carve out sometime in your own busy lives to meet up with me, both at Art Festivals all around and on FB Live and Instagram Live. That's right, Jewelry Fans, I'm coming live to you from your small, pocket, super computer that we rarely use the phone app on.

I'm taking recommendations on must see spots around the shows I'll be at (really, check the details HERE), as well as must go to restaurants, coffee shops and maybe nightlife spots. So fill me in!! No one knows your hometown better than you!! Hit me up on Instagram: @Margaret_OSJ and FB: @OriginalSinJewelry with your amazing, must do recommendations.

One more thing!! To celebrate the start of Summer last Friday, I launched a Fun Quiz! It's all about Road Tripping and what it means to you, Jewelry Fans. Check it out by clicking this link right here! I'd love to hear what your results are so share them on Instagram and FB too! All you have to do is click on the blue text (it's called a hyperlink, woah!)

6 Stone Woven Turquoise and Silver Neckpiece by Original Sin Jewelry
What’s Up with the Curated Collections?

May 27, 2020

Through the Curated Collections, I’m bringing you groupings of related pieces, much the same as I would arrange in my display cases. Each of them is a mini-universe unto themselves, relating in materials, colors and fabrication to each other. In a very direct way, I’m bringing my Art Festival Exhibition to you, here online. There are nearly 300 pieces in this first iteration of the Curated Collections, divvied up into approximately 25-piece collections. I’m even sneaking some new work in too- pieces that were going to debut this Spring and Early Sumer. That’s 12 bi-weekly installments of art-show-ness for you, Jewelry Fan!

How a Dead Hydrangea Broke my Heart Open…

May 19, 2020

Epic. Failure. My dirty, little, shameful secret. And one woman, through an act of compassionate kindness broke open the floodgate of feelings and made me feel special whether that plant lived or died (well, it had already died, but that’s not the point). I cried for about 12 straight hours, throat raw and eyes puffy for days. I’m learning to be ok with failure and loss. I’m grateful my loss is only a business, not a family member or friend, but it’s still a loss and I needed to let myself feel it.
